Sorry about the downtime folks. The data center where our server is hosted had an electrical fire over the weekend, which required them shutting down all power to the servers. We're finally back up, but we may have intermittent outages and issues over the next few days. Thanks for your patience.

Grand History of the Realms was released today. According to the publishers, the hardback book aims to "chronicle the history of the Forgotten Realms campaign setting, presenting a detailed timeline". Although Drizzt Do'Urden graces the cover, the exclusive short story by R.A. Salvatore, reputed to be included, failed to make it into the final issue (no matter what Amazon says).

Kirkus Reviews has posted a review of R.A. Salvatore's The Orc King, considering that the book "marks the continuation of Salvatore's maturation as a writer, introducing more complex themes into a frequently black-and-white fantasy landscape" while "retaining a healthy dose of his patented vividly frenetic action sequences".

Borders has interviewed R.A. Salvatore about his upcoming Transitions trilogy, with the author promising that readers can "expect a wild journey of three separate adventures, and at the end of the ride, they will look back and say 'wow' as they truly realize and digest the changes that have come into the lives of Drizzt and his companions".
